Northumbria Motor Homes Terms and Conditions
Northumbria motor homes rental offer hire and rental throughout the North East, Newcastle, Northumberland,Scotland and the UK. We have motorhomes and camper vans to rent and for long term hire. Please read the following Terms & Conditions which apply to any motor home rental.

Reservations
A deposit of £200.00 is required to secure a booking. This remains as part of a security deposit and is refunded within 7 days of the return date, subject to the vehicle being returned clean, undamaged and with the toilet emptied. Full rental charges are payable at least 6 weeks before the commencement of hire.

Collection of the Motor Home
Vehicles are usually hired from a Friday to Friday. They can be collected after 2:00pm and must be returned by 10:00am. During the mid or low seasons more flexible times can be arranged. No refund is payable from the early return of the vehicle. Late returns are subject to an excess charge of £25.00 per hour or part thereof. Insurance cover will be withdrawn after the agreed return time.

Drivers
Aged between 25-70 years are subject to an insurance proposal. Driving licences must be produced when hiring.

Insurance
Fully Comprehensive vehicle insurance is provided. The security deposit is also the insurance excess and is paid in the event of any accident.

Cancellation
The £200 deposit is non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel the hire if at the commencement of hire, nominated drivers licences are invalid or not in accordance with the conditions. In these circumstances all money paid will be forfeited to the company.

Accident Breakdown
In the unlikely event of a breakdown all vehicles are covered by the AA. The hirer must be notified immediately of any breakdown or accident. Once the vehicle is collected it becomes the responsibility of the hirer, any breakdown or damage caused by the negligence of the hirer shall be made good at the expense of the hirer, including tyres. Our liability is restricted to a refund for any days lost through breakdown not due to hirer negligence which denies the hirer the complete use of his vehicle.

Cleaning the Motor Home
At the termination of hire the vehicle and equipment must be returned in a clean condition. In the event of a vehicle being returned in an unsatisfactory state the hirer will incur a cleaning charge of £30.00. Chemical toilets must be cleaned and emptied otherwise another charge of £30.00 will arise.

Free Parking
Customers are welcome to leave their vehicles at our premises for the duration of the hire period. Vehicles left at owners risk. We can also offer free collection from Newcastle International Airport, Newcastle Train or Bus Station or from North Shields Ferry Terminal.

Conditions of Supply
Whilst every effort is made to supply the model ordered, the company reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle should circumstances dictate.

Continental Motor Home Hire
This is available on certain vehicles. AA continental insurance must also be taken out.

Equipment
All vehicles are fitted with a new gas bottle, kettle and grill. Cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Bedding can be supplied at a small additional charge.

Oil and Fuel
These are the responsibility of the hirer who is required to check regularly oil, water and tyre pressures. Damage to tyres and windows in the hirers responsibility.

The hirer shall compensate the lessor in full on demand for any loss it suffers as a result of any damage, fire or theft to or of the motor home vehicle including loss of revenue to the lessor for the period during which the vehicle shall remain unavailable for rental by reason of such matters and any claims made by any persons in respect of the vehicle whilst it is in the hirer's custody.

Even if an excess waiver fee is paid, the hirer shall be responsible for payment of any excess amount where the loss or damage to the vehicle or its accessories arises from the negligent or willful action of the hirer or any driver.
